Hello Rising Sun! Here’s what’s happening around town this week.
Main Street was filled with visitors, vendors, and community organizations throughout the day during Rising Sun's Summer Festival.
Summer Festival Kicks Off the Season in Rising Sun
Saturday was a beautiful day to be in downtown Rising Sun as friends, families, and visitors gathered for the annual Summer Festival.
Stilt walkers entertained children and families with balloon creations and plenty of smiles during the Summer Festival.
Main Street was buzzing throughout the day, with people strolling through town, catching up with friends, browsing vendor booths, sampling food truck favorites, and enjoying everything the festival had to offer. Kids especially seemed to enjoy the stilt walkers, inflatable slides, and other activities set up throughout the event, while others took the opportunity to relax, visit with friends, and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
Live music at the riverfront pavilion kept the Summer Festival going into the evening.

Festivalgoers gathered along the riverfront as fireworks lit up the night sky, bringing this year's Summer Festival to a memorable close.
As darkness fell, the festival concluded with a fireworks display over the river, providing a memorable ending to another successful Summer Festival.
Thank you to the volunteers, organizers, performers, vendors, local businesses, and everyone who helped make the day possible.
